Research Paper on Psychological Impact of COVID-19 on Children in Bangladesh: A Socially Inclusive Perspective

This study investigates the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children across diverse social strata in Bangladesh. The pandemic and consequent prolonged school closures have created widespread mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, social withdrawal, and behavioral problems. Disparities based on socio-economic status, rural-urban divide, parental education, and access to resources have influenced children’s mental wellbeing differently. This paper synthesizes current evidence and highlights the urgent need for targeted mental health interventions and socio-economic support to mitigate the adverse effects on children at all social levels in Bangladesh.
