As Bangladesh transitions toward a higher-income economy under the Vision 2041 framework, the demand for a highly skilled, globally competitive workforce is accelerating. While investments in infrastructure and technical equipment are expanding, the critical bottleneck remains the instructional quality within Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions. Currently, the pathway for an industry practitioner to become a certified educator, or for an academic to gain industrial currency, lacks a unified structure. The proposed Bangladesh TVET Teacher Qualification Framework (BD-TQF) establishes a standardized, competency-based progression model. It mandates that educators continuously update both their pedagogical capabilities and their industry-specific technical skills, ensuring graduates are immediately absorbed by the labor market.
